1. Who we are
GENIIMA (geniima.co.uk) is operated by Dale Wright trading as GENIIMA, a sole trader. Email: geniima.ai@gmail.com. These terms apply when you use the site. If you don't agree with them, please don't use it.
2. What GENIIMA is, and what it isn't
GENIIMA is a sharing showcase, much like a curated channel or playlist. It exists to share great AI films with the world and claims nothing for itself. GENIIMA is a curated showcase of AI-made films. We pick films we think deserve an audience and show them using the official embedded player of the platform they were published on (currently YouTube, in privacy-enhanced mode). We do not host, store, download, copy or re-upload any film. The video stays on the creator's or publisher's own channel and streams directly from that platform.
Creators and owners stay in full control. At any time an owner can delete a video, make it private or unlisted, turn off embedding in YouTube Studio, or restrict it by region or age, and it will stop playing on GENIIMA too. Every creator and owner can have their film taken off GENIIMA at any time, simply by asking. No reason is needed and there are no questions or conditions. Owners can also ask us to re-credit or correct a listing (see section 5), and we will act promptly. Every film is credited by name and linked to its original.
3. YouTube terms and third-party platforms
GENIIMA uses YouTube API Services (the YouTube embedded player). By watching videos on GENIIMA you agree to be bound by the YouTube Terms of Service. YouTube's handling of your data is covered by the Google Privacy Policy; see our Privacy notice. Playback, adverts inside the player, availability and age or region restrictions are controlled by YouTube and the video owner, not by us. If we add other platforms' official players in future, their terms will apply to their players.
GENIIMA is independent. It is not affiliated with, sponsored, endorsed or approved by YouTube or Google, or by any AI tool provider named on the site.
4. No ownership; trademarks
GENIIMA does not own, and does not claim any right, title or licence in, the films, soundtracks, thumbnails, titles, channel names or descriptions shown on the site. All rights remain with the creators and their licensors. Showing a film here is not a claim that we made it or have any right to exploit it beyond showing the owner's own official embed.
YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC. Names of AI tools, studios, festivals and channels are trademarks or names of their respective owners and are used only to identify them. No endorsement is implied. The GENIIMA name, logo and site design belong to GENIIMA.
5. Copyright & takedown
We respect creators' rights and want the owner of every film to be happy with how it appears. Named contact for all copyright, takedown and legal notices: geniima.ai@gmail.com (subject line “Removal request”). A postal address for service of formal legal notices is available on request by email.
Quick route for creators
If it's your film, just email us from an address we can link to the channel (or tell us how to verify you), with the GENIIMA or YouTube link, and say what you'd like: remove, re-credit or correct. You don't need to use legal wording.
Formal notice: what to include
So that we can act quickly, and so the notice meets UK and US expectations (UK E-Commerce Regulations 2002, reg. 22; US DMCA, 17 U.S.C. §512(c)(3)), please include:
- your full name, postal address, phone number and email address (and, if acting for someone else, who you represent);
- identification of the work you say is infringed (or a representative list if there are several);
- the exact location on GENIIMA: the page URL(s) and the original video link, enough for us to find it;
- why you believe the use is unlawful or unauthorised;
- a statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use complained of is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law;
- a statement that the information in your notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner; and
- your physical or electronic signature (typing your full name is fine).
What happens next
We aim to acknowledge and act on a notice promptly, usually within 48 hours. While we review, we will normally remove or disable the listing straight away. If anything is unclear we will contact you; please reply so we can finish. Where we can, we'll let the uploader or channel know. Removing a listing from GENIIMA does not remove the video from YouTube; to do that, use YouTube's copyright removal process. Knowingly sending a false or misleading notice may make you liable for any loss it causes (see, for example, 17 U.S.C. §512(f)).
Notices from the United States, including notices under the DMCA, go to the same contact: geniima.ai@gmail.com. A postal address for service of formal legal notices is available on request by email.
6. Counter-notice
If you are the creator or channel owner and believe a listing was removed by mistake or misidentification, you can send us a counter-notice at geniima.ai@gmail.com including:
- your physical or electronic signature;
- identification of the film and where it appeared on GENIIMA before removal;
- a statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that it was removed by mistake or misidentification;
- your name, address and phone number, and a statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the courts for your address (for US addresses, the Federal District Court for your district; outside the US, any judicial district in which GENIIMA may be found) and will accept service of process from the person who sent the original notice.
We will send a copy to the person who sent the original notice. Because GENIIMA chooses what to feature, we are not obliged to restore any listing. Where we decide to, we'll normally wait at least 10 business days, and we won't restore it if we're told that court proceedings have been started.
7. Repeat-infringer policy
If a channel or creator is the subject of repeated valid copyright complaints, we will stop featuring their work, remove their existing listings, and end any GENIIMA membership or submission access they have. We may also act sooner where infringement is obvious.
8. AI-only content policy and real people
GENIIMA only features films that are clearly made with generative AI. We base that judgement on the creator's own statements, festival or publisher records and documented workflows, and show our reasoning on each watch page. These labels are our good-faith editorial assessment, not a guarantee. If you think a label is wrong, tell us and we'll review it.
Real people and deepfakes. We do not knowingly feature AI content that depicts a real, identifiable person in a deceptive, sexual, defamatory or harmful way, or that impersonates them without consent. If a film shows you (or someone you represent), uses your voice or likeness, or you think it is misleading about a real person, email geniima.ai@gmail.com with the link and your concern. We will normally remove it while we look into it, and keep it off if the concern is reasonable. You do not have to prove a legal claim first.
9. Content warnings and age
Some films contain violence, horror, frightening imagery or mature themes. Where we can, we show age or content guidance on the watch page, but it is our best guess, not a classification by the BBFC or any other body. YouTube's own age restrictions still apply inside the player. GENIIMA is intended for a general audience aged 13 and over; anyone under 18 should have a parent or guardian's permission to join our member list. Parents and carers should supervise younger viewers.
10. Acceptable use (visitors and members)
When using GENIIMA, or any member features we add, you agree not to:
- break the law, or infringe anyone's copyright, trademark, privacy or other rights;
- submit or link to content you don't own or have permission to share;
- harass, threaten, defame or impersonate anyone, or post hateful, sexual or exploitative material, including any involving children;
- scrape, copy or download films, bulk-copy the catalogue, or try to get around YouTube's player, adverts or restrictions;
- interfere with the site's security or operation, or use bots to inflate views;
- use GENIIMA content to train AI models or create competing catalogues without permission.
We may remove content or end membership for breaches of these terms.
11. Creator submissions and licence
If you suggest or submit a film, you confirm that you made it or have the rights-holder's permission, that it's AI-made as described, and that it doesn't infringe anyone's rights or include a real person without their consent where consent is needed. You grant GENIIMA a free, non-exclusive, worldwide permission to embed the film using the platform's official player, link to it, and show its title, thumbnail, credit and description on GENIIMA and in our posts promoting it. You keep all ownership. You can withdraw this permission at any time by emailing us, and we'll remove the listing promptly. More detail is on our Creators page.
12. Disclaimers
GENIIMA is a free service provided “as is” and “as available”. We work hard to keep it accurate and running, but we can't promise it will always be available or error-free, or that any film will stay playable: owners and platforms can remove or restrict videos at any time. Films express their creators' views, not ours. We aren't responsible for third-party websites, players or adverts we link to or embed. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a consumer.
13. Our liability to you
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot be excluded or limited under English law, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
Subject to that: if you use GENIIMA as a consumer, we are only responsible for loss or damage that was a foreseeable result of our breaching these terms or failing to use reasonable care and skill. We provide the site for private, non-commercial use, and we are not responsible for loss of profit, business or business opportunity. If you use GENIIMA for business purposes, our total liability to you is limited to £100.
14. Responsibility for your submissions
If you are a creator or business submitting content and you breach the promises in section 11 (for example, by submitting work you don't have rights to), you agree to cover the reasonable losses, costs and claims we suffer as a direct result. This does not apply to consumers using the site for personal viewing, and it applies only to the extent the law allows.
15. Governing law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts. We may update these terms, for example to reflect new features or legal requirements. The date at the top shows the latest version, and significant changes will be highlighted on the site. If any part of these terms is found unenforceable, the rest still applies.
